It supports the 1.6 and 1.8 model from the same hardware, and also fits the OEM case, which means the conversion installs tidily into the OEM position. The only extra thing you need to do besides plugging it in is run a MAP vacuum hose (supplied) from the ECU to the intake manifold.

Please note that if you are using a switched type TPS sensor as fitted to the 1.6 model, we suggest installing a variable TPS to give better throttle response – the 1.8 model already has the variable TPS as standard. Also, if you wish to run without a MAF sensor, then you will need to install an Intake Air Temperature Sensor – available in the options list.

Options

Boost Control Kit

  • Our standard 3 Port BCV. Runs at 30Hz. Typically use duties of 20-80%, at 12V.
  • For use with turbocharged engines, and can be used in conjunction with many after market ECUs including the ME221. Get better turbo response, and use the ME221/ME442’s advanced feature-set such as boost-by-gear and rolling boost launch control.
  • Includes a short length of silicone vacuum hose and 2 pin mini-timer connector and pins, printed install guide.
  • Polarity does not matter when wiring.

Inlet Air Temp Sensor

  • A Bosch/GM style 2-pin air temperature thermistor.
  • Uses a 2-pin mini-timer connector for wiring – the polarity doesn’t matter when wiring this sensor.
  • Features an M12x1.5 thread.
