This kit is for engines that are taken apart and it is found that the only discernible wear has happened to the Rotor Apex seals that normally are found to have worn to around half the depth they should be, accounting for low compression. High Performance Goopy Apex seals are now recommended over the fragile Mazda Apex seals.

We have found that in many cases that this rebuild kit will be what is required to revitalise engines that have low compression and have been a problem to start when hot.

This kit is for engines that are taken apart and it is found that the only discernible wear has happened to the Rotor Apex seals that normally are found to have worn to around half the depth they should be, accounting for low compression. Mazda Apex seals or High Performance Goopy Apex seals can be supplied for the same cost.  

Using All Genuine Mazda parts this Kit comprises of the following:-

  • Apex Seal/ Mazda or Goopy
  • Apex seal spring short x 6
  • Apex seal spring long x 6
  • Rotor Oil seal set
  • Rear Stationary Gear O ring  
  • Outer water seal  x 4
  • Inner water seal x 4
  • Eccentric shaft oil seal front x 1
  • Eccentric shaft oil seal rear  x 1
  • Set of through bolt seals
  • Set of dowel "O" rings

Please note to ensue best possible results and longevity, once rebuilt we strongly advise the Ignition coils be changed once the engine has been rebuilt as this is the likely cause of the rapid wear that has led to low compression, you may find those listed here. Also other engine parts may be required once the engine has been disassembled.
