Remapping
Functioning as a remapping device, you can quickly switch between a range of maps or restore the vehicle to standard. Cobb supply a number of ready-made maps via their own Accessport Manager software. These include Valet Mode maps. The vehicle can also be flashed back to standard.
Remapping an engine is often the simplest most cost effective way of adding more power to it. Because the ECU controls all aspects of the engine- including boost, ignition timing, and fuelling modifying the software on an ECU can easily make the engine provide more power.
The stock software from the vehicle manufacturer will be designed with a reasonable amount of “slack” in it to allow for differing qualities of fuel, varying weather conditions between different markets, and less than perfect servicing. If a vehicle is only going to be getting run on high quality fuel and serviced regularly, it is possible to push various parameters harder than the original manufacturer does.
Considerable gains can be made, particularly on turbocharged cars. While headline power figures will be impressive it’s also worth checking out the fatter mid-range torque. This is especially noticeable when overtaking.
Unlike some other tuning solutions you can use the Cobb Accessport to flash a new map onto the car as often as you like. This means that the same Accessport can be used for hardware all the way from standard up to highly tuned.

Gauge Display
The Accessport comes with a big full colour display mounted in an attractive slimline casing. Unlike other tuning devices, its usefulness isn’t finished once you’ve used it to install a new map.
Intended for dash mounting the Cobb Accessport can actually be used as a gauge display. Able to display up to 6 fully configurable gauges along with shift-lights you can use the Accessport as a boost gauge, an Air-Fuel Ratio metre, or a range of other values available in the ECU.
A shift-light with configurable shift point can be displayed at the same time.
The Accessport can be used as a data logger, recording values from the ECU as you drive along.
Performance Logger
The Accessport can be used to record 0-60 and 1/4 mile times.
Fault Code Reader
The Accessport can be used as a simple fault code reader and clearer. This can be an invaluable diagnostic tool in the event of engine problems.
